Luther Grosvenor has always been my favourite guitarist since I first saw spooky tooth in 68. he started out with deep feeling, a midlands band including Jim Capaldi, later of traffic. from there he joined the V.I.Ps alongside Mike Harrison, Greg Ridley and Mike Kellie. Keith Emerson was also a member at this time before leaving to form the nice. in 67 the V.I.Ps became art, releasing one album, Supernatural Fairytales on island record before enlisting american Gary Wright on Hammond and becoming Spooky Tooth. this line up made 4 albums before Ridley left to join Steve Marriott in humble pie and Luther embarked on a solo carreer. he later toured with Stealers Wheel before joining Mott the Hoople as Ariel Bender, then upon leaving them he formed Widowmaker with Steve Ellis of Love Affair fame.....He then started his own painting and decorating business before returning to the stage a few years ago. this is possibly their best known tune and showcases Luther's playing and captures how they sounded live. |

Mike Harrison - keyboards, vocals
Gary Wright - organ, vocals (After Spooky Tooth's split in 1974, Wright continued his solo career, culminating in "Dream Weaver." The single peaked at No. 2 for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976, and went gold)
