The music was composed by Motoaki Furukawa and Masahiro Ikariko. Furukawa is known for his work on Nemesis III, King's Valley II, Metal Gear, Hinotori (Firebird), Salamander and SD Snatcher. Ikariko, also known as Ika-chan, was part of Salamander, Parodius, F1 Spirit, King's Valley II, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Snatcher and SD Snatcher.

The game uses Konami's custom sound chip called SCC (Sound Custom Chip), a 5-channel chip that compliments the 3-channel PSG chip of the MSX computer system.

FF5 SCC vs. Shinryuu
|
Shinryuu, one of the most feared monsters of Final Fantasy 5... Ridiculously easy to beat.
For those who dont know, an SCC is a Single Character Challenge.
I did this at level 63, using X-Fight and Quick.
Also needed are two Dragoon Spears (Stolen from Crystal Dragons in the same area as Shinryuu) and a Coral ring (Found or sold in some shops) to absorb his tidal wave. |
