KNLA Wangkah Camp カレン民族解放軍拠点「ワンカー」
|
ミャンマーからの独立を目指し、ミャンマー・タイ国境地域で武力闘争を続けるカレン民族解放軍（Karen National Liberation Army）の拠点が「ワンカー（Wangkha Camp）」である。
日本人義勇兵として参加した高部正樹氏と彼の戦友・西岡氏が撮影し、西岡氏がこつこつと編集したワンカー内の貴重な記録映像が残されていた。この映像は、西岡氏の編集した映像を再構成したものである。ワンカーはその後、ミャンマー政府軍の猛攻を受け、陥落し、攻防戦のさなかに日本人義勇兵が一名戦死を遂げた。西岡氏は後日、戦病死している。 |
